Negotiating Committee: Survey Zoomcast and Focus Group

by | May 12, 2021 | Negotiations, News, Union Business

On Friday, the Negotiating Committee held a Zoomcast detailing the state of the airline industry, Southwest Airlines’ position, and how that influences negotiations moving forward. If you weren’t able to join us live, please watch the replay.

Also, the Negotiating Committee wants to hear from you regarding the Reserve system. To best understand how Members are impacted by the current Reserve system, and to understand how potential changes may impact Members, focus groups will be conducted through a third-party consultant via Zoom in coming weeks. Qualitative feedback from informed Members will help guide the Negotiating Committee in talks with the Company.

Please consider applying to participate in a focus group. A variety of tenure levels, bases and opinions are needed. Participation is voluntary and while this focus group is not a paid opportunity, your opinions will be appreciated and will serve to help your Union as it negotiates with the Company. Please complete this form to be considered for participation in a focus group.

As you know, TWU Local 556 is actively involved in negotiating with the Company on your Contract. The Negotiating Committee takes very seriously the feedback it receives from Members in those negotiations, as the team is charged with bringing your voice to the table, and keeping you updated on negotiations with the Company.
