Your Input Needed! Reserve System Focus Group Applications Open

by | May 24, 2021 | Negotiations, News, Union Business

How does the Reserve System impact you? How does it affect your quality of life? What changes would you like to see made?

The Negotiating Committee is conducting a series of focus groups to hear from you about the Reserve System. Flight Attendants from many different bases and tenure levels are needed for the focus groups. These confidential focus groups will be held in June (dates TBD) via Zoom and will be conducted by a third-party consultant.

Here’s how the process works:

  • Members who are willing to contribute their opinions fill out a brief survey to qualify for a focus group. (Focus groups will be conducted via tenure levels and will include a variety of bases, so please apply!)
  • Members selected for the focus group are contacted with a date and time for their focus group. If they are available, they are booked into a focus group.
  • Members selected will dial into a Zoom for a discussion that will last no more than two hours.
  • After the focus groups are complete, Members’ feedback is compiled and given to the Negotiating Committee.
  • The Negotiating Committee uses that feedback to help guide discussions with the Company.

Please consider applying to participate in a focus group. A variety of tenure levels, bases, and opinions are needed. Participation is voluntary. While this is not a paid opportunity, your opinions will be appreciated and will serve to help your Union as it negotiates with the Company.

Please complete this form to be considered for participation. The deadline to apply is Monday, May 31, 2021.

If you missed the Negotiating Committee’s recent Zoomcast detailing the state of the airline industry, Southwest Airlines’ position, and how that influences negotiations moving forward, you can watch the replay.

Thank you for your continuous support and for being an engaged Member.
