COVID 19 Grievance Settlement
- No Flight Attendant was terminated due to vaccination status.
- Continued protections of accommodations for religious beliefs and medical conditions.
- VJA pay protections.
- COVID-19 quarantine pay protections for work-related exposures between November 25, 2021, to January 7, 2022, equaling an additional $1.3 million.
This settlement provides additional pay to hundreds of our Members. The Company processed those payments on June 1, 2023. It generally takes 2-4 business days, so if you are receiving compensation, you will see an additional direct deposit from Southwest Airlines the week of June 5, 2023. The Union will also email you your specific TFP amount to the email address we have on file within 48 hours.
If your issue dealt with Holiday Pay, we are still in discussions on this issue.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Union at COVIDsettlement@staging1.twu556.org.
