Compliance Checks

by | Jun 4, 2024 | Union Business

The Union is aware of the excessive gate checks, audits, and uniform compliance checks. We want to make it clear that although the Company has the right to “manage,” we find it unacceptable that the frequency and blatant disregard for our work group is being targeted. With that being said, we encourage you to take the following measures. In addition to filling out a LINK form on your IEFB, the Union would like to gather as much data as possible. Please take some extra time to submit your experience to the Union via the form below.

  • If you are gate-checked, audited, or approached for a uniform compliance check, respectfully request the Supervisor’s name. Also, ask a fellow Co-worker to witness the conversation (if available).
  • Please submit a LINK report with details regarding your interaction with the Supervisor. Please include the location, time, and flight number (if applicable) in your report. The Company is aware of the numerous gate checks, audits, and uniform compliance checks. However, we must provide an electronic trail to show excessive policy abuse.
  • Please take some extra time to submit your experience to the Union via the form below. This allows the Union to build its own database of incidents that we can use during discussions with the Company. *Please note that this is not a step in the grievance process. If you feel you have ever received unjust discipline, you have the right to work through the grievance process. You must call 214-640-4300 to begin to file a grievance.
  • Now might be a good time to contact your Supervisor ( via email or in person) and request a copy of your file. Take the time to review it; if you see something you were unaware of, you have the right to place a note in your file. Follow up with your Supervisor. Also, please inquire about the status of your points/discipline.
  • Before your trip, take a picture of your shoes, email your Supervisor, and ask if they’re compliant.
  • If you received discipline you feel is unjust and would like to file a grievance, please reach out to the Grievance team at 214- 640-4300 to open a case and request a grievance be filed.
