If you’d like to receive emails from TWU Local 556, please update your email preferences in your profile on our Website or in the TWU556 Connect App. Due to a temporary issue impacting delivery to some Microsoft-owned email domains (including Hotmail, Live, MSN, and Outlook), this message may not have been delivered to all email inboxes.
I hope Spring is off to a good start for everyone. This E-Connection includes information on airport discounts and another picture from the PHX Spotlight. In addition, you will see an important tool to help you calculate your Duty Day or your Extended Ground Time during any delays you may encounter. Also, in this E-Connection, you’ll find some important dates to mark your calendar. CISM will be in the Lounges to assist Members during the week of May 11-15, 2026, with a new scheduled service to Anchorage, Alaska, an opportunity to contribute to your community, an important PIN Black Out day, and a paid holiday to remember.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Employee Discounts and Parking
Last week, I sent out some information on the new parking discount for those who park in the public parking lots (i.e., East Economy Garage and Terminal 4). Tap the button below to access that information if you haven’t already read it.
While we’re on the subject of the airport, I wanted to make you aware that we receive discounts at various shops and restaurants by showing our Company ID. There is also an Employee Value Menu available. Tap on the button below to see the list of discounts available.
PHX Spotlight
To recap, the PHX Spotlight will feature a photo of our Flight Attendants, either on their overnight or on the plane, doing the job they love. We encourage you to submit photos wearing your Union pin. If you have any photos like this, please email jdipippa@staging1.twu556.org. Please have the person submitting the photo, along with the persons in the photo, sign the TWU Local 556 Photo Release form. This form allows TWU Local 556 to use them not only in an E-Connection but also in future Union media platforms, such as social media. Also, when you send me photos, please let me know who is who in the picture with names and any other details, so I can caption them appropriately.
Mele Kalikimaka
I want to close out the base portion of this E-Connection with a picture of four of our hard-working PHX Flight Attendants who spent Christmas in Honolulu.

1100 Central Time
Are you looking for a laid-back and casual discussion? A Town Hall meeting is just that. The Town Hall is a virtual meeting that lasts for one to two hours. There will be an open discussion with Questions and Answers. Just so you know, the session will be recorded for viewing later if you are unable to attend. Note: There will not be a financial presentation, as those are limited to our formal Membership Meetings.
Registration is now open!
Membership Meeting
The next scheduled All Base Membership Meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1100 CT. The official meeting notice may be found on the Union Administration page of our website.
TWU556 App Calculator
Your TWU556 Connect App (Apple) (Google) is loaded with all kinds of information from Union News to contact information and your Contract. One feature it has is the calculator to help you cross check your Duty Day and Extended Ground Time pay.
Duty Calculator: Ensure your workday meets FAA requirements and understand your rights to rest and benefits under your contract.
Extended Ground Time Pay Calculator: Determine additional pay for extended ground time between flights, ensuring proper contractual compensation.
Check out the TWUesday Tidbit reel posted to our official Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok earlier this week for a visual walkthrough of these calculators. Know your options and exercise your rights when days go long, or rest seems short.
Letter Carriers’ Food Drive
NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
The 2026 NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Led by our Unionized Siblings in the National Association of Letter Carriers, alongside those represented by the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, this effort has grown into the nation’s largest single-day food drive. Letter Carriers collect non-perishable donations along their routes to support local food pantries. Residents can participate by leaving a bag of food next to their mailbox for collection.
