Raise Day is Here
Today, on International Workers’ Day, we recognize the two-year anniversary of our Pink Contract taking effect. More than 21,000 Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants overwhelmingly ratified our industry-changing Contract valued at $6.3 billion over the four-year agreement.
Today, we are also celebrating a 3% raise for all Members! The Pink Contract pay rate increases on May 1, 2026 and May 1, 2027 are contractual raises that happen in addition to our anniversary raises. This is one of the many reasons that Southwest Airlines Flight Attendants continue to have the premier Contract in our industry.

The implementation of the Pink Contract has followed a phased approach, with specific items agreed upon for each stage. With more than 250 changes included in the Contract, the last year has seen many enhancements and a heavy SWA investment in technology updates.
To date, 98% of the Pink Contract language has been implemented. While the process may seem extensive, many of these updates required complex technological advancements supported by skilled development teams. In fact, compared to other collective bargaining agreements with similar number of changes, the Pink Contract has been implemented at a record pace!
To ensure our new language was introduced efficiently and in-line with the intent of what was agreed upon during bargaining, the scope and extent of these changes — which will shape our work for years to come — required a deliberate and structured rollout.
As we work towards implementing the last 2% of the Pink Contract, our Negotiating Committee will continue to update you on our progress and the exciting things slated for Phase 4 (March 2026 – January 2027). Tap the image below for more information.
