A Negotiations Update: Your NT Meets Southwest Tomorrow

Your TWU Local 556 Negotiating Committee meets with the Company tomorrow, October 20. Your Union has heard your questions and concerns, and will be taking them to the table.

Flight Attendants have risen to every challenge put before us, sacrificed our health and have taken more VSP, ETO and ExTO leaves than any other workgroup at Southwest Airlines. The Company has a lot of questions to answer before we can fully understand and consider their proposal.

Despite the communications sent to you by the Company and presented to you in the town halls, Southwest does not dictate the process or timeline. Having an agreement in place by the end of October is an artificial deadline set by Southwest as a way to create fear and rush your decision. 

Your Union will leave no stone unturned to ensure that any negotiations — especially those seeking concessions to your hard-fought compensation — are conducted with your needs as top priority.

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 26. The Negotiating Committee will be hosting another webinar to update you on discussions with the Company this week, as well as address your questions.
