Fast Fact Friday
Overfly
Friday, November 7, 2025
Q1: “What is overfly?”
“Overfly” refers to a flight which operates “in excess of the scheduled block time”. Per Article 21.3, overfly pays an additional 0.1 TFP for every five (5) minutes in excess of the flight’s scheduled block time (block out to block in), truncated to the nearest five (5) minutes.
Q2: “Is overfly paid above RIGs?”
No. You are paid what you work (including overfly) or RIGs, whichever is greater.
Q3: “Where do I find overfly on my pairing and Payroll Report?”
On both the pairing and Payroll Report, the TFP associated with overfly will be added to the leg credit.
Q4: “If I experience a reschedule that has a pay guarantee, will I be paid my overfly on top of the pay guarantee?”
When you have a pay guarantee, you will be paid that guarantee or what you actually work (including overfly), whichever puts more money in your pocket.
Q5: “My pairing says ‘Audit Complete’ and I still have questions. Is there anyone that I can contact for clarification?”
The Inflight Payroll Audit team finalizes all of our pairing audits. If you have questions about your audit, you can reach them at InflightPayrollAudit@wnco.com. If you still have questions, TWU Local 556 has the Research, Reschedule, and Analysis Committee (RAC). This team of knowledgeable co-hearts can help provide clarity for your finalized audit and reschedule questions. RAC@staging1.twu556.org
